Do you want to make a difference, but on your terms?
When we stop working we may feel we are no longer serving a purpose and this has a profound effect on our self-worth and happiness generally.
However corporate life, while providing opportunities for making a difference also places demands on our lives which we no longer accept.
Is there really a way to make a difference and feel worthy without being beholden to the demands of corporate life?

Are you sure of your skills but unsure how to use them to make an income?
When you've been in a role for a long time. You can do your job standing on your head. There's no challenge. There's no excitement.
You're confident in your own role and industry but your self-belief crumbles when you consider moving outside your comfort zone.
You know what you know, but can you really make an income out of it? Or is it all to hard?

Are you concerned that any new venture could unbalance your life?
Having left the corporate world and its demands you realise how much you value your freedom.
You've got used to the lack of pressure, the relaxed days. You realise how much you want to keep time for family, hobbies and longer periods of travel.
You don't want to go back to life as it was before.
But you love working in areas that excite you. Can you really have it all?
The Importance of Purpose in Retirement
When we stop working we love the freedom it gives. We rush off to travel and tick off bucket list items. But after a while the shine comes off and it comes as a shock how the world turns without us and we're left sitting on the sidelines, suddenly a spectator, not a player.
Work gives us more than we realise; structure, purpose, identity, ego, social connections, a sense of team and belonging, personal and intellectual growth, an opportunity to take risks and to be a winner, self-belief and much more.
When we leave the work environment we put all of these are at risk - and with them our mental and physical health.
It's not surprising that so many retirees go back to working.

Will You Regret Coasting Through These Years?
Edith Piaff was lucky she had no regrets. It seems most of us do. And in the last moments of life, we wish we had a chance to live our dreams and not compromise. We wish we had been braver.
We wish we had been less complacent and realised the opportunities we had to try new things and live more boldly. To see what life could really offer us. To be all that we are.

Are You Ready to Step Forward?
You've reached a crossroads in your life. You know from this point you could live your passion every day. But will you?
- Will you step forward and try something new?
Or will you be PERPLEXED and paralysed into doing nothing and just letting time pass?
Are you PROPSPECTING but lack any real direction? Chances are you'll take whatever comes your way which is no better than procrastinating where you are.
Maybe you're POINTED at an opportunity but delay action due to lack of confidence.
What does it feel like to be stuck where you are? Is it frustrating, demoralising?
What would it be like to be PRIMED - focused on a way forward and confident of your choice and ability to make the move and do well?
Research shows when we have low self-belief we don't even see the opportunities that present themselves. We're in denial!
To get ourselves in position for the new chapter of our lives we need to get focused and get a plan. We need to rebuild our identity so we have room to grow within it and we need to have courage to face the new with self-belief.
But don't worry - you don't have to do it alone.

COURAGE
We mistakenly wait to feel more confident before we act. But confidence comes after action, not before. There is absolutely no point in waiting to feel confident before doing anything.
What we need before action is courage.
Courage is managing our fears, and creating true and useful self-belief.
It's not the challenge that holds us back but our fear of it - and that's manageable.
Our inner 'fear voice' will give us a hundred seemingly great reasons not to chase our dream. By using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques we can reason with this voice and decide whether there is any real reason to delay.
At our age, health and circumstance can whip away our dreams forever. Delay can mean never doing it at all.
YOUR PURPOSE
Identifying our purpose is central to choosing our lifestyle. If we follow our dream commercially this includes how we develop our offer and how we engage with our market
When our purpose and identity align with our destination, our outcomes change.
Has your idea of yourself stayed the same for years despite your growth personally and professionally?
Just like a snake shedding its skin, we need our identity to be enough for us to grow into - and the right shape to accommodate our aspirations.
We cannot be what we don't see ourselves as.
Who are we and who do we need to be?
YOUR OFFER
It's simply this. If we don't know where we are going we can't go there.
We need to decide on a destination - a type of work to include in our lives, a business perhaps - and work towards it.
We create a plan and work the plan to get where we want to be.
In doing so we learn to let go of what is not useful and decide where we're not going.
In marketing ourselves and/or our product/services we need a tight understanding of who the target is and what their problems are that we solve.
The process for this creates a distinct, desirable offer to your market.
SALES AND MARKETING
Having a great service to offer your target is just a part of commercial success. Some would say it's not even the most important part.
What is absolutely essential is a simple, solid marketing and sales process.
Most of us who have not worked in this area before can shy away from marketing believing it lacks integrity and fearing reaching out to potential clients in case we're rejected.
Irrelevant marketing is a nuisance. Cold calling is plain rude.
But marketing done well is about giving, and offering real help to warm prospects is an act of high integrity.

"I've had lots of feedback from the leadership team that they find the communication work and the follow up that Sara does really useful."
Sara’s personal experience, solid frameworks, and really robust thinking is really helpful.
As the business continues to grow and evolve it requires many more people to be involved in the company and for us to harness those skillsets and talents Sara's frameworks and experience were really useful in helping us to understand each other much, much better and how we could better work with one another.
It's a confronting idea that business is not all just about managing performance and managing numbers. It's about managing people; which Sara's work demonstrates really ably. For this reason, I'd really recommend that management teams open themselves up to the training that Sara provides.
I've had lots of feedback from the leadership team that they find the communication work and the follow up that Sara does really useful.
